  Overall my experience at this office was pretty bad. Prior to conceiving I went into the office to get a preconception work up done,in which I would get labs done to check if everything was OK prior to getting pregnant. I was turned away at the desk because I was told (and very loudly at that, where all the other patients in the waiting room could hear ) that my insurance was not accepted. I went outside to call my insurance and confirmed that they do in fact cover that office. I went back in to discuss and I was told they immediately assumed my insurance wasn't taken because of some initials they saw written on my insurance card. I was upset and embarrassed that they would do that without confirming first, But that wasn't even the worst part of my experience.
  
  After that visit in which I had labs done I never received any calls about the results. I called them and was told that there were some levels that were off. I was told that I had nothing to worry about and it was ok that these levels were so high. Upon research my husband who is in the health care field found that these levels indicated an actual serious condition that could possibly prevent pregnancy or make it very difficult to conceive. We found some natural remedies on our own to try to combat the condition and give us the best odds.
  
  A few months later I was pleasantly surprised to find I was pregnant after implementing our natural regimen. Upon scheduling an appt to confirm pregnancy with labs, I went in with joy. Again after being greeted by a waiting room overflowing with patients and a less than friendly staff, I went in to see Dr. Richards. Dr. Richards while she is a friendly doctor she is also super busy, so while in the room you feel almost rushed as she needs to leave to go to her next patient(which explains the overcrowded waiting room ). After doing labs I was quickly examined and the doctor responded with" did I give you any medication to help you conceive? " at which my response was no (which I don't understand why she wouldn't have seen in her chart if anything was given). Her response was that of surprise and she then says with shock "oh well, congrats ". I then brought up my poor lab results from my first preconception visit in which she confirmed that I have the condition that me and my husband so diligently researched on our own. I did not receive a call or follow up after the office found out I had the condition and even when I called for my lab results I was told everything was OK!
  
  Fast forward to a few months later I receive a bill from my insurance for $3000,where I was told on that last visit they drew labs that were deemed as experimental and my insurance did not cover it. After fighting with my insurance and begging this office for help to fight this case, over and over again, I finally receive a note from Dr. Richards stating that the labs were necessary. It was still dismissed by my insurance and I was left with a hefty bill What a way to start what is supposed to be a beautiful experience as a first time mom. There are so many other things I can say about how unintimate and impersonal my experience was but I'll just leave it at this, while Dr. Richards is generally a friendly doctor she has way too many patients and no time to keep up with any of them. Her office in turn drops the ball often because they are overloaded with patients and they told can't keep up. I felt like a number there, and for me that was not enough. After finding an amazing obgyn I was able to contrast the difference between a bad experience and an amazing one. I hope this review deters any moms who may be looking for a good experience in delivering their children.
  
  This review gets two stars because there was actually one nurse there that was super friendly and made up for the lack of friendliness from the other staff.
